The McDonald’s at the End of the World (2021) clay, glaze, and steel chain

I grew up with divorced parents; an experience that has brought me so many things that I would not have if they had stayed together. Navigating these experiences as a child, the trauma that came from it, the isolation felt when you were the only one in the class whose parents were no longer together were very complex emotions that I needed to tackle. Here, I created a hellscape that would seem alluring to a child- a bright jungle gym with hidden secrets that once exposed, created a tumultuous terrain.
